The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is one of the world’s most beautiful and unspoiled landscapes and is worthy of the strongest possible protection to ensure all Americans can use it for years to come. The Refuge is unique, majestic, irreplaceable and important. Caribou, muskoxen, wolves, nearly 200 species of migratory birds and polar bears call it home. For Alaska Natives, protecting the Arctic Refuge and the wildlife that depend on it is a human rights issue and a matter of survival.

Despite the Refuge’s importance, Big Oil’s allies in Congress want to drill in this special place. The Refuge is also ground zero for climate change’s impact – over the past 40 years, Alaska has warmed twice as fast as the rest of the country.

Now is the time to protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge once and for all. We urge you to enact the strongest possible protections for the Arctic landscape, its wildlife and its people.
